A well written and directed feature length documentary of a most talented man and his interesting life, peppered with interview segments (including a friendly one with theatre director Patrick Garland, from 1970, in full here), home movie footage and film clips (Our Man in Havana proves useful to cover parts of the narration). He fell out of love with Britain after the war, partly because the critics hated his plays, but found new success in Vegas, then on American television.
The omission of This Happy Breed though was a bit much.
